Tonight I talked at length on line to my best friend who is having a spot of "boy to man" trouble and no its nothing to do with popular music as that was " Boyz to Men "

The " Boy to man " trouble I am thinking of is that strange place we males reach when we think we are now a man but still cling to our demands as a child. The weird place has no set time to appear in a boys life but we all get to experience it where we demand to be treated as an adult and equal by our parents etc but we still expect not to have to pay for it as a child would expect.

It come in around the same time we completely ignore some very sound advice from parents and elders like teachers about what we should do now while we have the chance and no responciblities to make things easier for ourselves in the future .. come on how many of you are now hearing your mother or father say you will regrete this or that and now you are old enough to be the parent you know they were right and life could have gone on a completly different and maybe easier course etc. ( isn't hind sight wonderful )

We ignore this advice because after all what do parents and teachers know about being their age??? its not as though they themselves have been through what the kids are going through now is it ???? You know I am sure all kids (and that included me in the distant past) think that parents are born parents and miss out on all the funky body changing and mind twisting stuff ( hormons ) a teenager goes through.

I am lucky ( or not ) never to had children of my own, but I have observed enough nieces and nephews and other peoples kids going through the struggle from child to adult to feel able to comment lol..lol

Well my friend is strong and although she is going through the " stranger in her own childs world" thing that Iam sure all you parents out there know all to well, she will come out the other side and the other side of the problem will have many years to regrete his behaviour during this "rights of passage" phase in his life. Well at least I hope the good man he will turn into will have the sense and good manners to regrete.

Today the British Army's roll finally ended in North Irealnd after too many years of soldiers being targets for any fool with a gun or bomb. I served in N Ireland as a 19 year old soldier as did many of my friends and at least one did not come home so to me there was no victory on any side as none of it was worth my friends life or anyone else's

War and conflict is not caused by soldiers but by people we vote into Government or choose to worship as some religon or cause, but its the soldiers that have to pay for it as they are the ones we send to do what the Governments etc dictate, they are the ones at the sharp end of things and they go gladly to do their jobs and their duty with little or no thanks from anyone but the guys they serve with and who's backs they watch. Just remember that soldiers were sent to N Ireland to help the catholic community who then with the help of the IRA turned on them and caused things to go from bad to worse.. sound familier ?? we went to Iraq to protect the people from Sadam ..

Well thas more than I written in a very long time on any serious subject.. maybe my parents were right I can not stay a child with no reponsibilities all my life and now I am looking at 50 fast approching I have to be an adult??? NAH!! to that lol..lol

Today is a massive celebration as I get today to give thanks for the birth of my bestfreind LISA!!

OK being a woman she is denying all knowledge of this event although its a bit of a give away as the male dominated household she shares with her husband and sons ( beautiful dauhgter has moved out to college)managed to russle up breakfast in bed !! and this year also presents that maninly had nothing to do with the kitchen or home maintance(cleaning,ironing etc) All you guys out there take note !!! a new set of saucepans or a new iron is NOT!! the way to impress the ladies in your life and another hint to help the feeble male to rise to the occation of such a special event.. steer clear of make up and such items.. bitter experience of the female has taught us that eventhough this is presented with love and only to enhance the beauty of the reciever you will be lucky to get away with your life as it will either be seen as she needs more touching up as she is getting old or theres another woman involved here as men know nothing about make-up etc ..lol.lol

Well Lisa my friend you have reached the young age of and you know you still look like you did as much younger woman ( well in the right light and at the right distance lol..lol)and I hope you have a happy restful day before you clean up all the mess the boys made destroying the kitchen to get you breafast

On a more serious note.. happy Birthday my friend I hope you enjoy your day..

You know we all have birhdays there like death and tax's no matter how hard we try to avoid them they get you in the end .. there is nothing at all we can do about getting older no matter what the adverts and various creams tell us they can do.. but on the other hand growing up is very much optional, so cherish the child inside and go out and play on the swings or anything else you feel you want to do and sod those that think they are too old for such things and so should you be .. you know its not a race to old age, maybe a fact of life ?? but we do not have to give it a helping hand now do we

Well here I am again folks ..

Saturday morning already and I have survived another week on the roads of Britain through flood and rain with some sunshine thrown in for good measure and there is now even a threat that there will indeed be a British summer that does not involve rain!!! well we will have to wait and see about that I think

Once again I was thrown to the wolves on the streets of London to pit my skills as a driver against those of the fools that design shops and store and those that " plan" the routes that we drivers have to follow to deliver our goods in the order required etc. although I have to wonder which map or computer programme these people use to plan deliveries and the wisdom of the companies to employ people into planning rolls that have never done the job themselves and would dearly love them to put the computer that says it can be done into the truck and see how far the computer can drive the thing as these planners have a bad habit of saying " well the computer says it can be done that way " ..lol..lol what all people planning journies by road have to remember is that a map does not contain other drivers and their habits to rearrange the use of a road at any particlar time by having an accident and bloking it !! lol..lol or for the road to be dug up or have weight and height limits or just plan too much traffic on it so that it mirrors more a carpark than a road

So what excitement does this weekend hold for me ?? Well as I am a single man with no wife or girlfriend to do the laundry and cleaning I guess I will have to do such things myself then again if you want the job doing right its best to do it yourself lol..lol.. and I have my weekly trip to Tesco to look forward to I am amazed at how some people can turn shopping into a contact sport !! and that such people unable to control a shopping trolly actually drove to the super market in the first place!!

Well time marches on and a man has to do what a man has to do ...

Evening all !!

Well another mad day on the roads of England.. anyone that has been around the M25 in the rush hour will have an idea of what sort of day I had today..lol..lol

I once again have been trying to thread a camel through the eye of a needle taking an articulated truck into west and central London.. Quick question here .. the biggest vehicle stores have coming to them are the artic delivery vehicle, so why is the smallest space on site the goods in area ??? I mean they have masses of space for cars that is empty most of the time and a very small space for delivery vehicles which they then fill with rubbish skips and empty pallets and even staff cars ?? and still I have to get a 45 foot trailer and tractor unit right up to the back doors etc ( and you all think its easy to drive a truck )

You know I keep telling a friend of mine that " life is too serious for us to take it so" maybe I should heed my own advice Why does life have to be so hard when we are the ones that are meant to be in control ??? or are we truely the planners of our own downfall our own worst enemy etc .. well I do not really have the brains or the training to answer that but just incase a good answer could be to always see the glass half full instead of half empty as we all have the nack of doing

Its like complaining about all the rain eventhough we are not the ones with our homes flooded etc .. so how about looking at the fact we will not have a hosepipe ban this summer for the gardeners amounst you or a water shortage of any kind as they were prodicting for the long hot summer we were going to have well there is always an Indian summer to hope for

We I have one more day on the road and then a weekend off to look forward to Well i wish you a happy day today and a good friday whatever you are up to.

Well folks no let up in the now famous British summer !!!.. as you will all know we have had nothing but rain and now half the country is flooded and it looks like the island we live on is sinking in the middle ..lol..lol and only the British could be flooded and have no water to drink as many of the flooded towns and villages now find themselves in that situation.

As for the driving on the roads ?? well the ones that are not flooded are still flooded with fools driving like they are at the Fair on the bumper cars with little or no thought for others and it seems themselves when it comes to playing "silly buggers" around trucks again yesterday there were many many examples of fools driving in the pouring rain and spray with no lights on !!!and that wonderful habit you all seem to have of thinking that because the truck has a gap infront of it that lane must be going faster !!! so you fill the gap and leave the truck no space to break in. CLEVER!!!! NOT!!!

I even saw some fool following so close to the back of a trailer on the Oxford by-pass that when the truck pulled into a layby the fool followed him !!! how clever is that people !!! he was in such a rush to get somewhere even though the traffic was almost at a stand still he followed blindly what if the truck had swung around another parked vehicle at the last second ?? instant accident !!!

And one last gem of info for the great british car driver !!! trucks can only do 40mph on single carriage ways by law people!!! so if your stuck behind one TOUGH!!! and if you try to overtake and nearly come head on with another car etc how does that become the truck drivers fault ??? and for the last time not many driver understand sign langauge no matter how hard you try or how many times you use it ( I am sure most of it is not real sign anyway )

Rave over !!! drive safe and remember this ... next time you think bad of a truck and its driver, have a look around you and try and find something you own, wear , eat that has not been on a truck at some point so that you have it for your use ???

Another very very lazy day for me mainly laying in bed reading a book ..So you will understand that there is not that much for me to rant about

The weather is keep to predictions for a change and its mainly wet( another fantastic British summer )so a least all of you that jetted away this weeked to the sun will be getting your money's worth no worries and will get even more out of the sunshine holiday by flashing your tans off when you come home

I had a great evening chatting with my best mate in Sweden and seem to be getting caught up in some bluetooth action somewhere along the way..lol..lol sorry no idea how that all works but I got a " Hi " from some bluetooth user last night ???

I am not watching the Grand Prix on TV and that too has turned into a boat race..lol..lol alla M40 on friday..well at least there is some action going on and not just one car shooting off from the start and staying there until the finish etc .

Well thats realy my Sunday!!! not so interesting but at least I have kept my daily blog going

Well this thing is becoming habit forming I fear.

What to say about today ?? not a lot going on just as I like it .. chatting with my best friend Lisa this morning, seems she did indeed take the sunshine home with her after her holiday here

You have been safe on the roads as I have not been working today as you might have worked out. Even Madtruckers take time off you know ....I endulged in a little bit of reading and not much else

So thats my blog for the day ..duty done and promise kept If I had known these things were this easy I would have started this a while back..lol.

Back again to keep up my promise.. had a very nice package today with my favorite cookies in it all the way from Sweden..well they are available in Tesco but no where near as nice as the real thing thank you very much for sending them over Lisa

So what do I have to say about todays drive or should I say almost boat trip as i seem to have been up to my hubs in water for most of the day !!!

Well i will keep it short today as its the weekend almost and all that.. When you are driving in the pouring rain you will notice that the trucks have their lights on !!! a bit of a big hint at a safety tip and the fact that if it helps to see a truck when he has his lights on .. just think how cool it is that we get to see the cars in all the spray etc and you moron in sliver cars that think you can save the battery by not using the lights or using the side lights only must have some sort of death wish so plase keep away from me on the road

as for the M40 river I floated down today..lol..I did honestly feel sorry for you tin can car boys at least a truck can get through the water ish.. and I am sorry if any of us splashed your paint work etc ..lol..lol but I am glad to be off the road as I have never seen it rain so much all you Ducks are welcome to it ...

well back on the road today to join in the madness amoungst those fools that think cars have some sort of force field around them as soon as the indicators are switched on..lol..lol

Quick science lesson as a reminder from school days .... a 40 tonne artic doing 56 mph along a motorway coming into contact with a quarter tonne tin can of a car doing 50mph when it pulls out infront of the truck will lose everytime people indicators or not so why the hell do you do it ????

I have only been to Leeds today, mainly on the M1 and I have lost count of how many times I was cut up or pulled out infront of by fools in cars thinking they are invincible and that the truck will alway give way and allow cars the right of way, just how big does a articulated truck have to be before you fools see me coming ... sorry people this is real life, I have my hands full with my own vehicle and driving without having to drive for everyone else on the road and befoe you start I know there are bad truck drivers too but I am sorry to say they are far out numbered by fools in cars I promise you.

There was a report on the radio about young drivers being dangerous today and they are thinking about putting the driving age up to 18 or higher !!!well Mr Minister if you happen by my page, (that is if your not too busy smoking weed..lol..lol)Iand many other truck drivers have news for you!! you can raise the age limit as much as you want but that will not stop people driving like morons around very large and fast moving trucks and causing more problems than you can imagine.

Screw ups today :- pulling onto the motorway going too slow, leaving too late to come from the third lane to leave at the next exit, coming to almost a stop infront of a truck doing 56mph to let a van towing a caravan off the hard shoulder,waiting for the traffic to come to almost a stop and then pulling into the gap left by trucks so they have enough room to break, sitting along side me while I have my indicators on and am jammed up the backside of another truck instead of looking at whats going on and pulling past or allowing me to pull out so I can maintain my speed etc ..

Yes i know there were trucks out there cutting up cars.. or maybe the car drivers are just not looking past their own bonnet and reading the traffic as we have to to keep from playing bumper cars with you ???

To my swedish fan club.. you are both good drivers although you seem to have the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car and drive on the wrong side of the road and will someone tell me how you turn the side lights off on a volvo !!!

You are the two most beautifl women I have ever met and I am not talking about whats on the outside ( although they are both good looking folks!! ) I am talking about what comes from within if you are reading this and do not understand what i mean I feel sorry for you and have no time to explain but hope you get it in the end

Well here I am doing something I never thought I would well i was pressured into this by a recent visitor from across the North Sea and her daughter at home in the North of sweden that seem to have a bad influence on a computerfobe like myself.

So you two who know who you are its all your fault and you know things will only get worse once I get to like this thing and come here to rant and rave about all the bad drivers on the road as my name is madtrucker and I have lots to say about poor driving on the roads in britain.
